About Sheena Abrams

Sheena is a dedicated therapist driven by a strong desire to help individuals feel seen, heard, and safe. She understands how trauma impacts self-perception, beliefs about others, and the ability to thrive, often trapping people in survival mode and affecting relationships and overall well-being. Sheena is committed to helping individuals recognize their inherent value and break free from survival mode, enabling them to fully engage in their lives and relationships. She believes that healing from trauma involves addressing both the mind and body, using interventions and theories that help individuals understand their own narratives and emotions. Sheena employs attachment-based approaches, such as Emotionally Focused Therapy and Restoration Therapy, along with expressive techniques like expressive art therapy and sand tray therapy, which she uses with both children and adults. Recognizing the importance of relationships as a fundamental human need, Sheena is passionate about helping couples, families, adults, teens, and children overcome the barriers of trauma that hinder their connections and sense of belonging.
