At Dawn Institute, our internship program is intentionally designed to support emerging therapists in becoming confident, ethical, and relationally attuned clinicians. We provide a structured and supportive training environment grounded in Dawn’s core values of excellence, togetherness, efficiency, and integrity.
Our goal is not only to help you meet licensure requirements, but to help you develop your clinical voice, therapeutic presence, and professional identity.
What You Can Expect
Interns at Dawn Institute receive:

Clinical Training Focus
Interns gain hands-on experience while developing the ability to:
Understand and apply trauma-informed care
Integrate developmentally informed practices
Strengthen relational and therapeutic attunement
Practice ethically and confidently in clinical settings
Supervision and mentorship are central to the internship experience. Interns receive consistent guidance as they refine clinical skills and build competence toward independent practice.
Licensure Support
We provide supervision for graduate students pursuing:
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
Internship start dates are available in both Spring and Fall semesters.
