Child Attachment Evaluation
See if your child may benefit from therapy care and services.
Not sure if your child needs therapy?
Let's figure it out together.
Parenting comes with a lot of questions, and "does my child need therapy?" is one of the harder ones to sit with. You don't have to answer it alone.
Our Child Attachment Evaluation is a collaborative process where our team works alongside you to understand what's really going on for your child and for your family. Our goal isn't to hand down a verdict. It's to make sure you and your family get exactly the kind of support you need, whatever that looks like.
What does this look like?
Not every family who comes to us is looking for ongoing therapy, and that's okay. Some parents just want a clearer picture of their child's needs, some practical strategies for home, or recommendations they can bring to a therapist they're already working with.
During the evaluation, you and your child will take part in a series of activities together, things that feel more like guided play than anything clinical. We're paying attention to how you connect, communicate, and work as a team. There's no pass or fail here. This isn't a test of your parenting, and it's not a test of your child. It's simply a chance for us to get to know how your family moves together.
Afterward, we'll sit down with you and share what we noticed real, personalized feedback along with tools and recommendations built around your family, not a generic checklist. Maybe that means continuing therapy with us. Maybe it means connecting with another provider. Maybe it's just a handful of strategies you start using at home this week. Whatever the outcome, you'll walk away with a clearer understanding of your child and some real, usable insight into how to support them.
Why families choose this evaluation
Not sure therapy is the answer?
This evaluation is for you and your family. Whether that means therapy to work through what's going on, or parenting tools to help you stay connected at home, we're here to help you find the path that fits.
Get a clearer treatment picture.
We take a close look at the parent-child relationship and attachment patterns to figure out what kind of support, if any, actually makes sense.
You want everyone on the same page.
If your child already has a therapist, pediatrician, or teacher involved, we're glad to collaborate with them so your child's care feels connected, not scattered.
What Happens Next?
Every evaluation provides us with the information we need to treat and make recommendations tailored to your family.
These recommendations don't come from a single therapist's opinion; they come from our collaborative team review, where our clinicians work together to agree on the plan that will benefit your family most. Our goal is to provide your child and family with the care to maintain or grow your relationships.
Depending on the evaluation and what we find together, this could look like practical tools to strengthen or maintain your relationship with your child, or recommendations for child therapy, parent therapy, or group therapy.
There's no "correct" solution or outcome; we just want you to walk away with a plan that actually works for you and your family.
Our Process and Cost
The evaluation takes place over four sessions and includes a collaborative review with our full team, not just one clinician's recommendation.
1. Intake — we get to know your family and what brought you here
2. Evaluation — the guided activities with you and your child
3. Team review — our clinicians collaborate to look at what we observed
4. Parent feedback session — we walk you through what we found and what we recommend
Total cost: $600
*Ask us about using insurance to help cover the cost.
Cost shouldn't stand in the way
If cost is a concern, we don't want that to keep your family from getting support.
