This group focuses on helping Teens:
Find new ways to express their thoughts and feelings.
Learn valuable tools to understand themselves.

What to expect?
Attending a therapy group can be a valuable and enriching experience. Here’s what you can generally expect:
1. A Safe and Confidential Space
Group therapy provides a supportive environment where members agree to respect each other’s privacy. This encourages open and honest discussions. All sessions are held in the Dawn Institute Training Room.
2. Facilitator Guidance
A trained therapist leads the group, sets the tone, and guides discussions. They’ll help ensure everyone has the chance to participate and keep the group focused on its goals.
3. Sharing and Listening
You’ll have opportunities to share your experiences, challenges, and progress. You’ll also hear from others, which can provide new perspectives and insights.
4. Learning Together
Group sessions often involve education on specific topics (e.g., coping strategies, communication skills, family dynamics). These lessons can help you better understand yourself and others.
5. Support and Feedback
You’ll receive support from peers who may face similar challenges. The group can offer feedback, encouragement, and practical advice based on shared experiences.
6. Emotional Growth
Group therapy fosters self-reflection and personal growth. You might uncover patterns in your behavior, gain new coping mechanisms, or develop healthier relationships.
7. Challenges and Vulnerability
Sharing personal feelings or experiences might feel uncomfortable at first. However, vulnerability often leads to meaningful breakthroughs.
Tips for Success:
Be Open and Respectful: You’ll get the most out of the group by actively participating and listening to others.
Practice Patience: Building trust and comfort takes time.
Embrace the Process: Growth happens gradually, and small steps are still progress.
Group therapy can be a powerful step toward healing, connection, and change.
